Flown out and into here several times. Mixed feelings. First few flights were typical experience. My most recent flight over the summer 2017 was horrible. 7 am flight that to my knowledge, never left. Information was limited as the flight was pushed back several times. Other passengers were offered alternative flights from this air port, we were not. Around noon we were able to get a flight from New Orleans to Atlanta, which we missed our connection. A Taxi from BTR to MSY, recheck bags and wait another few hours to leave. By the time we got to our destination it was almost 24 hours for a travel time that should have taken about ten to twelve. The worst part was the lack of caring about the situation and misinformation given out. Yes, we did hear staff talking about what was wrong and then saying something else over the PA.

The bad part of the ease of this airport is that they only fly to Houston, Dallas, and Charlotte. It would be great if they would add a couple large hubs like Chicago and Denver.

Thank you SO much. SO nice to see folks at home, BR, were just as hospitible as I experienced in the Houston and San Antonio Airports.

UNITED is my choice.!

They had ants on the gate seats, but lines were quick. 4/5 stars.

Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport is in East Baton Rouge Parish in Louisiana, United States and is a primarily non - hub airport. The airport is slightly small for the city and metro area of Baton Rouge which is due in part to its proximity to New Orleans airport. There are a few airlines who provide service to and from the airport of Baton Rouge. The airport is also served by American, Delta and United airlines and through them service to worldwide destinations are available. Baton Rouge airport has been expanded and is being renovated constantly. As a periodic flyer I have always had an enjoyable experience.

Tons of rental cars available if needed. Parking is easy.

More folks should fly from BR, rather than having to drive to New Orleans.

Recently renovated. This airport is the easiest to get through. I can leave my office half an hour before the flight takes off and make it through security by the time boarding begins.

Wish there had been a direct flight from BR to SA when I booked amonth or so before my trip., but each airport met met with a wheekchair and worked so hard to get me to my next gate.

It is so nice after the renovation. AND, the young man who helped me find my car, parked in the tower last night, after several trips up and down the elevators, with him pushing the wheelchair and pulling my suitcase, was SOOO nice, and just deserves some praise.
