I have always loved this chain. Only they closed the location near me. Now I have to travel about 8 miles one way to shop here. I still do it a couple of times a week though. It is that good! Great hot meals from deli also.
I love the hot plate lunches. Every Friday is *fry day* and they do shrimp, catfish, cheese sticks, okra, all types of other fried goodness. On the weekdays the hot lunch is never bad. If you go close to closing time for the hot deli. They load you up. For the cheap!!!
I love this store. The entire staff is wonderful and helpful. Hot deli food is delicious. I love the fried fish and fried shrimp. Cold deli is fabulous also. Always getting the chicken salad sandwich. Produce section is very clean and organized with selections hard to find anywhere else. I love that they support local products. Meat section has beautiful cuts of beef and pork at reasonable prices. The cakes are so yummy. The carrot cake, almond cake, Italian cake, and coconut cake are all divine. The blueberry scones are excellent too!!! Great prices on cheese and fair prices on quality eggs. It all starts with management being awesome, helpful, and knowledgeable and they are. These people are professional and nice. They care. They make every shopping experience here a joy. The very highest recommendation!!!
Meats are great and nicely priced but unless there is a deal the rest of the merchandise is overpriced.
Also their chicken salad is hands down the best ever
It's like going back in time to the neighborhood market! They have all types of products you can't find in the bigger chains.
