I loved this stop of our trip. The gardens are beautiful when viewed from the top of the capitol building.
The visitors center you find a lot informacion about capital. Tours. And food
Nothing cool here except the statues that were blocked off. Also welcome center is not here. Took us awhile to actually find it and all it had was some magazines. Wouldn't waste time walking around the area as its only businesses with some resturants catering to the business folks.
Nice and friendly place
One of the few capitol buildings in the US which isn't shaped like a dome. It is in fact more like a tower, and I did not know any of the building's history until I met with the knowledgeable and kind staff here. Visitors could do a self-guided tour of the building, and take in spectacular views from the observation deck. The capitol is surrounded by beautiful parks, a lake and the Mississippi! I am glad I visited the capitol building during my trip to Baton Rouge!
Fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable staff on the present happenings and on the history. The view from the top of the building is spectacular and the grounds are beautiful. I've brought my kids here countless times and they love it as much as i do.
