My son and I took my granddaughter here to Zoolights on Dec. 23rd. We noticed a lot of the lights were out as we walked thru ....yet you paid full price. This zoo is not really that big of a deal for the size of a city as Baton Rouge.....don't waste your money on this place until they step up their game. I've been to smaller zoos that had much more to offer on Holidays and special events.

They're working with what they've got. It's not the biggest or the fanciest or the newest, but it's nearby, its affordable, and it's a nice size for a couple of hours with the kids. New Orleans zoo may be bigger and better, but here you avoid the huge crushing crowds and the long day of dragging cranky kids around. It's great for last minute plans or a quick visit.

We visit every year or so for brew at the zoo. It is a good location and is good for hosting large events.

The zoo is ok, but small. They were having an issue a little while back with a lot of animals dying.

After living in Baton Rouge for years and moving away to then move back, I was greatly surprised by the better conditions and revamp that the zoo has had over the past few years. Every single employee was great to talk to and happy to help with anything we needed as well as having a variety of animals and better enclosures. It was a great experience for my family and a first trip for my young daughter who loved seeing everything and interacting with the people working. I will definitely be going back to bring my family again.

I love our local zoo. Its more like a park with animals. it is covered with beautiful trees and flowers. I enjoy the zoo's grounds and the animals are a added bonus. With only one way in and out its a great place to bring the kids and let them loose just a little, they love to see the animals. Its very peaceful and the staff is great as well. They have always been very helpful and nice when I have encountered them.
