The food and atmosphere here is amazingly! The only complaint I have is that they charged my card twice. When I called to complain, the staff did not seem surprised nor were they sympathetic. For a family-owned business, they are not very friendly or courteous. I got the impression that they are not very grateful for their repeat customers.
wow i am just in awe of this place! first week of living baton rouge and i sure have found my sanctuary! this place is one of a kind and has some real southern style cookin'. they even have Tony's on the table! i am a grits fanatic and this place hits the spot! 17/10 would highly recommend! i feel like when i come in here i step into a hot tub time machine and transport to the 60s (??) 70s (??) around that time frame you all understand. once again this place will totally blow you away
Louies will forever be a staple.. the food here got me thru many many long college nights. Decent service and the fact that it's 24hrs is a good combination reasons for me to keep coming back. If you're ever in the area this place should be definitely be on list of places to visit.
I love Louies. My favorite dish is the western omelet and hashbrowns. A long time favorite place in baton rouge. Their new location offers more parking and more dining space. They even have outside tables.
And you too can move up the scale, while sending your blood pressure soaring to new heights thanks to Louie’s hash browns- the great prices and 24 hour service is the difference between fit or fat. Why eat a carrot when you can gnash on butter cheese potatoes soaked in bacon grease. Tip-(For more experienced eaters)the chicken fried steak is best with their homemade biscuits slathered in thick white gravy. But no matter where you fall on the nutrition spectrum- Louie’s can take you to new highs in cholesterol, weight, drunken happiness and blood pressure.
In as little as 3 short weeks I gained 17 pounds and added 8 inches on the waist, i achieved this all with the help of Louie’s hash-browns.
