Hello Carver Branch Library, my name is Michael Sanders, I use to live on Napoleon Street back in 1964-65. I went to an Elementary School that use to be on this very site. I realize that it is a long shot to actually fine someone who can remember that far back, but if so, I’d like to know. The house that I lived in on Napoleon Street has been since torn down.
The keyboards have a layer of dirt on them like they haven't been cleaned since the library first opened. Other than that it is a nice atmosphere.
Staff is courteous and friendly, not a lot of parking though.
The staff is always very courteous, helpful, attentive, & friendly. It's not as big as the other libraries here in Baton Rouge so it kind of reminds you of that old TV show/series named "Cheers" ~ "where everybody knows your name." Very pleasant, peaceful atmosphere with a water fountain right outside the area that's designated for those who are using the computers. The fountain is surrounded by a few benches that you can go outside & sit on whenever you feel like taking a break & just enjoying the view.
