i love this library i go all the time and it is now renewed and it is so big
At 21, Benjamin Franklin was a man on the move. He was a successful Philadelphia printer and an intellectual. In 1727, Franklin and several friends established a “club of mutual improvement” called the Junto which met in a Philadelphia alehouse each Friday evening. There they held lively discussions of politics, morals and philosophy. Eventually, they left this ale-infused atmosphere for QUITER MEETING place in the home of one of the wealthier members. To aid the group's quest for knowledge, Franklin developed a plan for a public library.
Very nice and quiet environment for reading. The library has an excellent design with a lot of spaces. Also, it has too many books in too many various topics.
The phone number is incorrect, that number is to Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, not LA State Library.
Our library in Franklin Parish is the noisest library I have ever been in. Staff argue with each other out loud. Telephones are used at the computer area and people talk out loud, kids play with loud toys. You can't hear yourself think. Libraries were at one time a place to go and study not a social club with extra loud noise.
