The USS Kidd has been beautifully preserved and is an incredible sight to see. I would recommend going on a day when the volunteers are there to give tours, at their pace. I believe it was Friday but definitely give them a call to check and see which day they are offering this when you go.

Was a nice day stop, would get to walk almost all of the ship and that includes below decks, recommend that anyone doing this should leave behind any bags or fanny packs. The hatch ways are tight and easy to snag on but the experience is well worth it.

The museum is Awesome!!! Came for business and wanted a quick little side trip on the way out. Not disappointed at all. Nice to see places honoring the sacraficies made by veterans of the greatest generation.

The museum was nice and the destroyer was well maintained. We had to do a self guided tour and the details were lacking in my opinion. Some of the other ships we have visited had an enormous amount of detail while touring the ship (if you wanted that). The USS Alabama being one that had a phone app with some really great info. Anyway, I gave a 4 and not 5 because of that but overall it was well done and worth the admission price. We had a Groupon but it was worth the normal price in my opinion. The WWI exhibit was very well done and I spent some time reading all the plaques. We were there for several hours.

Went on First Free Sunday. Wasn't overcrowded. Our 2 sons each brought a friend. It was very educational and eye opening. All 4 boys had a great time!!!

The destroyer along with the museum have been done extremely well and are managed by a fantastic team. I was lucky enough to attend their Veteran's Day Celebration last year and what an honor it was to meet all of those distinguished men and women.
