I Was not pt but was taking a pt to see a cardiologist. The staff at this practice need a wake up call in who they are working for. Unprofessional, rude and spiteful is strong words but needed here. As professional in a medical profession I work with patients daily. My patients are my family. Patients are treated like a number at this facility, the food the staff received was more important than the pt in front of them at out counter.. They ignored the patient that approached the counter until they concluded the discussions between them. When it was finally my turn, not even a good afternoon, and after I indicated when I can bring pt again in 6 weeks with my equally busy schedule I was given dates and times around what I indicated. Shows firstly lack of respect to pt and secondly a I don't care attitude that you the pt work with me and not the other way around. Dr's these are the people who are your face to the public and frankly it's not pretty. You may be good and even the best but your staff is ruining it for you especially at your so called check out counter.
The staff is rude. When I did my stress test the "software" malfunctioned and I couldn't see what he was telling me. They don't seem to care. There for the money. They called to schedule a follow up appt 3 mo later and I told them I hadn't received a bill and wanted to pay my balance before adding to it. The next week I was turned over to a collection agency. Bookkeeper told me that she had billed me 3 times. I told her I don't receive any and wanted to pay the $300+ and was told it was "too late"!
Relocated to another state about 3 months ago, had a sonogram on carotid and heart but never got a call for office visit to go over results. New cardiologist has requested copies of sonograms several times (they are legally required to send them) and they have ignored the requests. New doctor is going to do them again but want those to find out if condition has worsened or improved. Thinking about getting a lawyer involved. How incompetent can they be? Wish I could give something less for a rating!
I will preface this review by saying I am not nor have I been a patient there but my grandmother was. She passed away in May 2016 and I got a phone call a few months back from their office looking for her. I called the office back and notified them that she had passed away and all I got was "Ok, we will make a note of it." There was no apology or even a "thank you" for the return phone call. I've since gotten two more calls from them looking for her and I've told them again both times that I had already informed them that she had passed away almost a year ago. I was told that "sometimes the info doesn't get to the right department" which I think is ridiculous. I know I don't work in the medical field, but I'd think that as soon as a relative reports a patient's death, it ought to be immediately flagged somehow. It's been upsetting getting these phone calls so hopefully the one today was the last one.
I don't know that I can even give them one star. I went in several months ago for a Nuclear Scan. Doctor Evans only seemed interested in selling sleep apnea machines. The technician during my test was texting the entire time of the test. When weeks had gone by and I still had no results after pressing for results and asking for a detailed report, all I received was a letter stating that my cholesterol was fine (no way) and no blockage. I am 61 5'10" and 247. I have a desk job that is quite stressful. I feel the girl texting botched the test completely and they covered their butts with the letter. Since, I have been having tightness in the chest and since this is not surgery related BCBS does not do second opinions, so I have to pay again. Ridiculous the incompetency in the medical field today.
