I was appalled by both the product and service I received from this jeweler. I bought my wife her wedding ring from them 4 years ago and in that time the main stone has fallen out twice and 3 paves have fallen out. The last time the main stone fell out they weren't open so I went to another jeweler for their opinion. They indicated the way the ring, setting and posts were constructed it's no surprise I've had the issues I've had and that the jeweler should repair it at no cost to me. So, I brought it back to Wayne Madere for the repairs and was told she is too rough on the ring and it would cost me $600 to repair. When I went to pick up the ring I was paying for it and said "Can I give you some feedback?" I commenced to tell them about the second opinion I had received. I did this very professionally and without malice. He cut me off and said..."I don't give a sh*% what you were told, they're wrong...." I said stop there. I have no interest in talking with you about this any further and I will never do business with you again or refer any business to you again. He walked away and said nothing more and let me leave in disgust. I AM BLOWN AWAY....He is some special kind of jerk!
They sell a nice swiss made quartz watch line, with unscrewing crown and sapphire crystal(not cheap). 3 year warranty, and they change the battery for the life of the watch. They buy them from a trusted manufacturer that they have used for years and place their own name of the face of the watch below 12 o'clock. Neat to have an old, even historic, Baton Rouge jeweler's watch. The men's watches I saw were $420-$660; they also have women's. I just wish they were automatic. Felt self-conscious because I wasn't dressed preppy and they treated me VERY nicely.
