Don't believe posted hours on Google. They actually close at 5:30. This misinformation resulted in my not being able to get my son's birthday cake for his party. They knew I was picking it up and never attempted to call to see if I had forgotten or knew they were about to close. Had a similar problem with them before and gave them a second chance. Won't happen again.
Love their pineapple, butter cream cream white cake!. Very good! They continously give great service for parties. I have purchased cakes and pies for events for over 20+ years. They are the best!!!
I wouldn't feed this food to my worst enemy, nor would I recommend anybody apply here. If they dislike your personality you'll probably be fired within the first month of employment.
Over the years, I have always been extremely impressed with the quality of Baums. I have 3 daughters and they each have their own favorite. Baums is by far the best and they are very creative with my 2 younger kids cake designs.
The management does not care about their employees. They hold tips from hardworking individuals, there are no employee discounts, and they fire people for "being weird." They're immature and gossip all day, about customers and fellow employees alike. No wonder the turnover rate is through the roof. In my 5 months of working there, at least 15 people got fired or quit.
I have been to several bakeries, but this is the one. Gino's is nasty and ambrosias is terrible and very dirty. But since I have been to baum's they've made me a forever customer. I will never go anywhere else for a holiday pastry.
If you want month old frozen cakes, this is the place to go. Overpriced and exposed to either mold, rats, or roaches before its journey into your mouth. They use old cardboard boxes that house baby roaches and ants to store cakes and other delectable goodies in the freezers for up to 6 months. No rotation goes on in the back. The freezers never get cleaned so there's mold on the door handles. The sinks are also riddled with mold. The janitors are never properly trained. The mop water is always a murky gray color and it smells like sewer water. Thank god they only mop once a month.
