It all looks great, but the quality is bad. The cheesecake was still frozen in the middle (it was not advertised as frozen). The baclava was old and soggy on the bottom. The chocolate cookies had more baking soda than chocolate in them and were completely inedible.
Went in at 7 am on a weekday and ordered a cinnamon roll. No doubt it was from the day before! It had definitely been refrigerated. I could not cut into it with a fork. So, I had to ask for a knife. When that didn't work, I brought it to the counter and ask if they could possibly heat it. The employee pointed me to a microwave in the restaurant area I could use! REALLY? Needless to say, I will not be going back to Ambrosia!
Ambrosia lives up to its reputation, we almost always go there for the famous Strawberry Cake. It's delicious and you can never go wrong with it. We have tried many of their other cakes, cookies and fine pastries and have not been disappointed ever. They keep the store clean and well stocked. Try the king cake when in season, yum.
8 or more workers visible behind counter and somehow there are 4 or more people awaiting acknowledgement and service!
Strawberry cake is addictive. Went again a second time and got some cookies they were good. Very good food just need employees to be more energetic and lively thats the only, but i didnt receive any bad service it just seems so relaxed. It needs that spark or pop when customers walk in.
