You need to book an appointment one to two weeks ahead.

I really usually never write reviews but I'm so disappointed in this place. I expect nothing less though from a company that Neil Corp is running. All they care about is cash cash cash. I went to Aveda myself and am a licensed cosmetologist. I would have done the service myself but I wanted to get pampered for once and I hadn't gotten my license renewed yet to get professional products from Armstrong mccalls. I went to a sweet girl named Martha who I thought was as sweet as can be but she kept asking another stylist (who seemed quite busy) every question about my hair. It was quite scary but I know how this works and how hard the industry is. I know it's hard to please someone but this scared me. I didn't want to say anything because Martha seemed so excited. After I left the salon my friends said they couldn't even tell a difference. I wanted Pastel lavender which would not have been hard to achieve had she just bleached out my ends as well. They were healthy enough. I called the salon back to be told that Martha could do the serve the next day at 11am. I show up to find out there was a mix up and no one can fix my hair. They tell me to go in the next day and I find out Martha got in a Car accident which I'm so unfortunate to hear about but someone should have squeezed me in. Done something. My money was just finally refunded. It just sucks having to walk around with multi colored "LSU hair." I was charged so much and wasted all that time in the chair when it could have just been stated to me that their color probably couldn't achieve what I wanted. I really think it's a combination of avedas color line and Neil Corp wanting to open more and more shops and not focusing on giving these girls further education on color. Martha was very sweet but I didn't appreciate her blaming a new guy that just started in her mistakes and then saying "can you live with it until Tuesday."

In my opinion, I think a haircut for 30+ dollars is pretty steep but it is definitely worth it to splurge once in a while for that special event.

ALSO, call to double or even triple check that your appointment is still booked since the appointment can disappear through human/computer error.

Be prepared to wait approximately 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment. There is no need to arrive early.

I had my hair cut by Brooke M. and I am pleased. The time it takes for a haircut ranges depending on who you have. Since I had Brooke cut my hair, it took about 45 minutes including a hair wash. She also helped my style it which is a plus. I brought a picture of how I wanted my hair to be cut and it was pretty close!

While my stylist was coloring my hair, she flicked a piece of my hair, which was covered in dark hair dye, onto my face, effectively dying my face with a dark stripe. The appointment only got worse as her co-worker accidentally sprayed me with water at the sinks, and after my stylist washed out the dye, my roots were a completely wrong color. She tried to blame my hair for not taking the color, but I've been getting my hair dyed for ten years and have never had a problem before. Then, as she was running out of time, she cut my hair very quickly, forgetting to trim my bangs. And to cover up her mistake with my roots, I let her style my hair, which she did within ten minutes. In the end, I walked out with a dark stripe on my face, two different colors in my hair, a botched haircut, and a middle-school-girl wavy style, and it took longer than 2 hours. I had to reschedule my interview. I was charged $100 for this appointment.

The minor negative things:

This is the only place I will ever go. Rachel always has my hair looking amazing, she is the best colorist!

I have never given a bad review. This will be my first. I had previously gotten outstanding highlights at the Paris Parker Perkins Rowe location, but for the sake of convenience I elected to go to the Mall of Louisiana location recently. . To say I am disappointed with my experience at this salon is an understatement. Not only was I charged $300 for blonde highlights that I did not receive after spending 5 hours in the salon but brown hair color that I could have achieved with a $12 box color from a drug store. I contacted the stylist, Rachel Gleason, to see if she would correct it but I never heard back from her. As a hardworking professional, I cannot imagine treating any client this way and especially representing the company I work for in such a manner. We all make mistakes but not correcting them is costly to any business' bottom line.

I went in for a hair appointment to get a trim and root color touch-up. I needed to be out of the appointment within 2 hours because I had a job interview, which, I immediately let them know. They assured me the stylist could do it in time.
