Update: Just want to add that I still have nightmares from this place. It was truly disgusting. Roaches were crawling everywhere and more and more came out as the night went on. We killed around 30 of them but there were many more. I ended up getting only an hour of sleep. The cigarette smoke gave me bad headaches. This place needs to be shut down.
Evacuating Florida from hurricane Irma. This hotel is super shady and our single bed room looks like a whole family had been living in it. I'm not sure the sheets are clean. It's a non smoking room and it definitely smells like smoke. And one of the stairways is taped off because there was a big fire a room. It's really noisy here and our door doesn't even shut all the way. Thankfully we only have to be here one night.
PS elevator has not had any inspections done ever
But the worst most discussed part is the blood spots on bed and in bathroom in plain view. The whole staff needs to be replaced and the place need to be seen by health department!!!
This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. Starting with the rude staff telling me I couldn't check in at 3 , "because they didn't know what rooms where clean and the cleaning staff was on lunch" then finely get checked in and the room had an overwhelming stench of cigarettes all in the room.
Not a good location. Outside access only . No security Heavy drugs and people on drugs in the area. Hotel under renovation. Roaches in the room. No hot water. Wouldn't recommend to stay here. At least not now.
Very upset. Stayed here last week while my husband was working in Baton rouge. Cheapest rate around and the pictures gave an amazing look! After checking in, we found that the heater did not work, with the ouside temperature in the low 40s, we were miserable. The shower was disgusting. Not to mention the roaches crawling around. After going home for Christmas, we found out we would be coming back to Baton Rouge, we figured we'd give this another try! Upon walking in the room, a roach crawls right between my feet. The door will not completely shut, letting in a draft of air, and the dead bolt don't slide... The shower was not the cleanest but cleaner than the last one, even included a used bar of soap, lucky me! Trash all under the bed, the refrigerator door is covered in sticky all over. The toilet is filthy. It's a place to stay so we didn't say much.. turned the sink on and it sprayed me from the side.. got in the shower, it sprayed from the side, as well as flooding the entire bathroom!!! When we asked for early check out, we were told that they will not refund us our money, because they are under new management. This new, so called "manager" is the rudest.. Not to mention she made a comment about a guest walking around with suspecious people in the parking lot, while I'm standing there holding my 2 year old!!!! Very unprofessional workers! Also, when getting into my room, I listened to a couple of guys cussing and yelling in front of my door, and with management walking to their cars, not a word was said.. I'm so disappointed with my experience... safe to say we will not be returning, even if it was offered for free!!!!!!!!!!!!
I reserved a 2 bed room and they gave it to someone else. To many people walk and hang around
