The Cook was a great on campus hotel. The night I checked in the desk clerks weren't super welcoming. But by the next morning people were much nicer and warmer. Room was clean, comfortable and roomy. They were doing construction while I was there and it didn't bother me even once! The breakfast was very disappointing! The free part that was included was nothing more than motel 6 type options and it was an additional $7 up charge to get a normal hotel breakfast Hampton Inn style...unacceptable to me
Hotel was clean as expected and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay overall and the location can't be beat. The negatives would be the free continental breakfast is a little misleading, you only get cereal and bisuits/muffins, and the pillows weren't as comfortable as the bed, but that's nitpicking.
The rooms were nice and the location is beautiful. There is a continental breakfast provided, but you have to pay extra if you want any of the hot foods or waffles.
Very beautiful location by the LSU lake. Conveniently located next to the LSU UREC, as well as all the restaurants and other stores on both the northern and southern ends of the campus. Did not stay there, but the rooms look over comfortable and clean. There is a breakfast buffet daily, open also to those not staying at the hotel. The breakfast was good, very standard fare. Lunch is also available.
Lovely place to stay. We love it here.
