It's been a safe haven since we left the storm in Florida behind us. Just thankful to be alive. The staff is friendly and extremely accommodating.
The best long term stay hotel I've ever stayed at. Staff is courteous and very helpful. The rooms are clean and well stocked. And the indoor pool and spa are just the icing on the cake.
Steer FAR away from this Marriott Property - you have been warned! We booked a 2-BR "Suite" and checked in online. Approximately 15 minutes after online check-in, we received a call from the property asking us to move to a neighboring property with a smaller 2-bed configuration. We advised them that this was not possible as we had been driving for some 13 hours and needed this larger room for our group. They eventually called us back and advised that our room would be ready and waiting for us.
As a Marriott Gold Member, we travel extensively and stay exclusively with Marriott (we even have our timeshare with Marriott!) Our only conclusion to this stay - and the unprofessional follow-up from this property - is that this hotel doesn't come close to Marriott standards and, shamefully, no one seems to genuinely care either way.
Had a great stay! The staff were outstanding! LaSaundra, Ronetta and Quentin really made sure our stay was wonderful from recommending local favorites to the smallest detail. We were especially pleased with front desk clerk, LaSaundra who went above the call of duty and was very accommodating.
Once we arrived, it went downhill from there: On check-in to our room, we found the trash can in the kitchen filled with empty beer cans and anti-diarrhea medicine. Our daughter went to use the bathroom, and the toilet paper roll completely detached from the wall. We went to watch TV, couldn't get any signal, and found there was no cable from the wall to the TV! The microwave had fallen from the cabinet mount in the kitchen and was propped on the countertop and curtain rods were completely loose and pulling away from their wall mounts. We called the front desk and asked if another room was available, but were advised that this is all they had for rooms. If we had not driven such a long way and were completely exhausted, we would have definitely tried to move to an entirely different property.
Ok for all of you who is e complained about the carpets and the furniture well let me say this if you had 100's or more people who came to stay at your house every day how do you think your carpet and furniture would look? So now with that being said this is one of the best extended stay properties I've ever stayed in. The staff has been amazing each and everyone I've had contact with from the front desk clerk to the laundry lady whom takes pride in her job and the quality of product ahe puts out. One morning the breakfast person was out and the laundry lady jumped right in to take up the slack so while she is now doing tow jobs she is still smiling and upbeat. She herself told me the staff here was like one big family and I was treated just like I was one of the family. I never try to knock things that is everyday wear and tear in a hotel but for the prices I think it's an awesome place to stay. The pool and whirlpool were nice. Also I've seen several post about towels at the pool they do have a limited space for the towels and as for my stay they were constantly trying to keep a check on the towels in the pool area and the only door I saw propped open was the one in the pool room and I believe the reason for that was because the staff was trying to keep the room as cool and comfortable as possible. So if you can realize that any hotel is gonna have some every day wear and tear and are just looking for a good d3scent place to stay then this is it.
On check-out, we asked that the GM for the property please give us a call to discuss this sub-standard stay - and, though assured he would contact us, we never received a call. We resorted to the Marriott Customer Care "800" number, and, after [several!] attempts to work with the property to provide a refund for the stay, these multiple requests have continued to be ignored. We have spent a countless amount of time trying to follow-up to no avail. At one point we did make contact directly with the GM of the property, Mr. Jupiter, who promised to call back in a few minutes to discuss our concerns - and again, never returned our call.
