Very accommodating!!!

It has now been about 6 weeks since I have moved out of the home I rented from this company. They have not returned my security deposit or anything in writing stating if or why they are withholding my security deposit. The owner is nonresponsive (I know she reads my emails, because of read receipts but she rarely responds). I believe they are attempting to fraudulently keep my security deposit. I have filed a small claims lawsuit...we'll see if they respond to that.

Represents quality local builders i n Greater Baton Rouge area.

Connect Real Estate Group's team are very professional.

This company does business under a few names, Connect/Willie and Willie Contractors/RADD Holding LLC. and I rented a home from them.

My ordeal didn't end there. At the lease signing, I did not receive mailbox keys. The Customer Service person (Jean) was supposed to get the keys and provide them to me. 2 WEEKS later, I get a call from Jean saying she was on the way to pickup the keys and she'd call me back so we could meet up and she would give them to me. She NEVER called back. I called the office on Tuesday (she called me on Thursday the previous week). She called me back to tell me that she was SO busy and just phew, couldn't get everything done, but that she was going to the post office to request keys. At this point, I had absolutely no confidence that she was doing what she said she was doing. On the next day, I went to the Post Office to get mailbox keys. It only took about 5 minutes and cost $20 to schedule my mailbox rekey and get keys. But I guess Jean is SO busy that she couldn't spare 5 minutes to do her job. Ironically, Connect/Willie and Willie Contractors/RADD Holding LLC asked me to give them a copy of the mailbox...how bass ackwards is that?

On lease signing day, I was told that the power and water were on at the property and I simply had to get the accounts put into my name. Great! Not so fast. I arrived at the home and sure enough, the power was on...the water, not so much...

Develops relationships as well as selling homes

I called the Baton Rouge Water Company and I had to run down there before they closed (thank god I decided to show up early for the lease signing, because if I came at the agreed upon time I wouldn't have found the water off until AFTER hours). In order to get the water company to open an account for me at the house, I had to run back to Connect to get a copy of my lease, because the owner wasn't there to signoff in her spots when I signed. The run to the Baton Rouge Water Company was frantic and I made it there with 15 minutes to spare...I had to pay $60 out of pocket (water turn-on service fee) for someone to come out and turn the water on (which I wouldn't have had to if the water had never been turned off). It turns out, the water had been turned off for a month and half...and when I got back to the house, I could SMELL that that was true. The hot water smelled awful, probably because the water had run dry and water heater just festered. I turned on all the hot water faucets, ran the tub, the shower, the dishwasher, and the washing machine to get flow through the water heater. After about 2 DAYS of periodically doing this, the hot water finally stopped smelling.

I gave ample notice of my intention to move out. We set a date and time to perform a final walk through. As the day neared, I never received any confirmation of who would be showing up for the final inspection. Surprise…no one showed up…and I had to move (to another state) so I didn’t have any time to waste with them…I finally got an email from Debbie (Deborah) Walker stating that she had no intention of doing a final walk through. That was a mistake on my part to allow that to happen…but I did and I know they knew I had no alternative…I was starting work in 600 miles away the following Monday.

I received a call from Jean AFTER I had done her job for her and she passive aggressively mentioned my complaint that I registered via email with Connect/Willie and Willie Contractors/RADD Holding LLC about not receiving my mailbox keys, then proceeded to try to schedule a home walk through while I was at work...I was free the entire week of my move-in.
