If you have your doubts about this dealership, take it from me...I'm a huge car enthusiast, so I'm always buying, selling, and trading. I know how everything works, and what to watch for. All Star is a place I would return to over and over again, and not think twice. In fact, me and my fiance are already talking about trading her car in on a camaro as well in a few months, and we wouldn't do it anywhere else! A+ experience from a very satisfied customer!!
Terrible customer service! Window is in perfect shape and is rolled down but will not come back up. So the car is driven directly to an All Star dealership - 35 minute trip. They call me the next morning and the window is shattered. They go on to tell me they have had to replace A LOT of window modules but they will not replace the broken window. Terrible customer service!!
Lastly, I got to the financing portion of the deal, and this is where they normally try and slide in a ton of extra costs and hidden fees...Got none of that. I was given options of the extras that I could purchase if I wanted, wasn't pressured, and had everything explained to me simply and honestly! He also had no problem with me choosing a local credit union back home to finance through. I got a great deal on my purchase, and an amazing rate!
Bought a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado from Ms Maia Young, she was amazing! Great service at Allstar Chevrolet! I am very happy with my truck
First off, I'm not from the area. I had to drive 2 hours to come get my camaro, but it was worth the drive to not deal with the shady dealerships in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Update: Gryder glass to replaced window for $250. All Star lost a customer for life over $250 - better check how much it costs you to gain a customer. Not smart!
Regarding your response - reimburse me for the window and then I can be a customer again. Don't reimburse me for the window and there is no chance. PS - teenage daughter soon to be in the market for a car - as well as ALL of her friends. Will we speak favorably of All Star or not??
I first came into contact with John Dillon. He's the general sales manager, and he's awesome! I told him what I wanted, what I needed to get for my trade, and that I was coming from out of state to make the purchase, so I would need a lot of info before making the long drive. He went above and beyond to earn my business, and was 110% straight forward and honest with me the entire time. His honesty and willingness to work with me convinced me to make the drive the next morning, so I did, and I'm so glad I did!
Can't even begin to express how positive my buying experience was at this dealership. I think who you choose to deal with plays a big part in it.
I'd recommend contacting either of those two gentlemen if you're looking to purchase a vehicle! Neither of them will do you wrong!
If I could give a "no star" review I would - HORRIBLE customer service! Moving back into the area from out of state. Called at 10 am on Tuesday and made a 7am appointment for Wednesday. Asked if I could drop off my car late Tuesday night and they said yes and they had a key drop box etc. Had a family member follow me over there at 9:50pm Tuesday night in the rain only to find the dealership had gates that were closed and locked! Showed up there at 7am the next morning prepared to wait the hour/hour an a half they said it would take to do the oil change if I did not drop it off.... Drove up under the overhang and got out. Chelsea was a few feet away checking in someone - she looked straight at me and never acknowledged me or told me where to go. Went inside (it was cold out). Terry looked up a few minutes later and acknowledged me and told me he would be with me shortly. When he started to check me in I let him know that I had driven all the way up to the dealership with a family member the night before to drop off the car because I was told I could and the gates were locked. He did not apologize but simply responded by saying I must have made the appointment after hours and he would tell the after hours service people they needed to let people know the gates are closed and locked at 8pm. I told him I made the appointment during the day ( I made it at 9:52 am to be exact) and he ignored my comment - again no apology. Sat down at 7:15 am. At 8:15 Terry came out and told me my SUV was almost done. I saw an SUV drive by shortly thereafter and I thought it was mine but they never came and got me so I figured it wasn't mine. At 9 am I finally went to the front desk and asked another guy (Steve>?) what was taking so long as I had been there 2 hours.... He looked over and there was my paperwork sitting on Terry's desk. He went out to find my vehicle and I went over to the other side where I had seen an SUV go by and sure enough that was my SUV parked on the other side of the building. So it had been done at least 30-45 minutes and Terry never told me. Terry walked up as I was checking out and said something about my car being done- I looked at him and said yes it had been done at least 30 minutes already. He looked at me with a huge sarcastic smile and voice dripping with sarcasm said "I'm so sorry". I told him he was rude because he did not say that with any sincerity but was clearly being sarcastic to which he again sarcastically said "Well I said I was sorry." Wow- if a customer service rep would act so openly rude and sarcastic in front of other employees and other customers you know this dealership has a serious problem! Go elsewhere! Matt McKay - you have serious customer service issues! Was planning on trading my 2016 SUV in for a new 2018 but definitely won't be doing it at this dealership!
Once I arrived at the dealership, I was greeted by Antoine Dickerson! He was my sales consultant. I immediately got a very honest, and friendly vibe from him, and after talking to him a bit, found out that he was also A Marine. Nothing says trust and respect like person willing to lay their life on the line to protect our country. It made me feel even better about buying from him.
I am always quite pleased with the quality of service at All Star Chevy on Airline highway. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the waiting. The floors were very shiny and looked brand new. The waiting area is very clean and comfortable. Michelle always keeps me posted on the progress of my repairs. Kevin the shuttle driver was very kind. Everyone at All Star is professional and courteous.
